Dubois Cup hailed a stunning success

Midnight won by dint of flawless sail handling, Timoneer by her usual steady and sound tactics was second and Kokomo, the largest yacht, was third with a great effort for this large yacht on a relatively small course. However, it was not until the last race (four races were held – two each day) that the final order materialised. In fact it was the last twenty minutes of the last race when Midnight sailed into second place that sealed her overall win.

The prize giving party was voted by many the best sailing social event that they had attended. David Glenn, for Yachting World, said as much in his piece written the day after (see yachtingworld.com-june16th-davidglenn “Memorable end to Dubois Cup”.)

We are most grateful to all concerned for helping us stage this event and we look forward to the next Dubois Cup… date and venue to be announced!
